WEEKEND IN BANGALORE


If you are busy in city life i will suggest you to spend some time in some beautiful places in bangalore.Sorry i am not talking about malls and the big concrete jungles.These are the natural places around the city with some modern amusement themes.I am always searching this type of places that any one can visit in weekend days.So some places like I.G Park,Lumbini garden,Bangalore palace,Hebbal lake,sankey tank etc.

I.G PARK(INDIRA GANDHI MUSICAL FOUNTAIN PARK)

The I G Park situated near to Rajbhawan road opposite to planetarium.It is called the musical fountain garden.The garden is old one.Have differentkind of flower plantation and children play area.There is musical fountain that starts at 7pm.The music is combination of some kanada and hindi songs.It will realy energise you .One big Indian flag is there when you see you just feel proud.The music show is hardly 30 to 45 minutes.Always public aregoing there.The care takers of I G Park only charge for the music show otherwise it is free .




Bangalore palace

It is near to the I G Park .You can take help of GPS only 3 km away from I G Park.Bangalore palace is very beautiful place.It is always busy with sometrade shows and exhibitions.The exterior of the building is absolutely beautiful.The rooms, woodwork, light fixtures and most of the furniture is beautiful and represents that old royal days.Entry fees is somehow high about 250 rupees per entry.Someone can spend some momment there.For a half day tour it is a beautiful place.














Tipu sultan summer palace

Widely known as Tipu Sultan's Sumner Palace, located at Chamrajpet in Bangalore.It is protected heritage building, was built in 1768 & completed on 1778.The unique feature of this palace is that most of it is made in wood. The sculpture work in wood is worth watching.It's a two storey building with floral designs on walls and inner surface of roof.The rooms at ground floor has images that tell the story of legends of Tipu Sultan.They have arranged the photos in the way that if you read the details of the photots you could know the family members of tipu's family.







Hebbal lake

Hebbal lake was a large waterbody covering about 7 acres.This lake is great for bird watching,relaxing,chilling out and recreation.There was also a boat ride to enjoy.Hebbal Lake is located across the highway near Hebbal in the Northern part of Bangalore city.This lake is quite good compare to other lakes in Bangalore, because of its dense park and seating facility.And you wil feel relax by seating under tree.

Sankey tank

This place is near sadashiv nagar and is good for outdoor activities.Good place to sit around lake and pass time.Built in the year of 1882 by Col. Richard Hieram Sankey of the Madras Sappers Regiment on whose name the lake is now being called as.The lake was built with the purpose of catering to the demands of water supply throughout Bangalore.

Lumbini garden

The place is near to hebbal lake.It is hardly 10 min ride from hebbal lake.I think if you want to enjoy full day then you can go this place.Entry fee is only 50 rupees.One big lake is there one floating restaurant is there.For seating purpose seats are available.Boating facilility snacks also available in minimum price.Some rides are there .You can enjoy by booking ticket 50 rupees.Water games are available.So everything is availablein this garden to enjoy your weekend with kids.For lunch breakfast and snacks purpose restaurants are available inside the park.
