Tour is always encouraging me.To see new places to see new roads without any aim and long way riding encouraging me always.When any long weekend any vacation is their i am always making plans to ride somewhere that i have not ever went.And google map is my key to find places.When i am surfing internet i am always hanging out with google map. Searching new places the road nearby villages and places having lake,dam.sea ,river any places having natural water i love that place.Though i dont know swimmimg it attracts me always.So one day by searching in the google map i got this place krishnagiri dam and it is called as KRP dam.And me and my wife went there on one Sunday.We have planned two places one is krishnagiri and another one is one temple called padmavati temple.
The Krishnagiri Dam is a dam that spans the Thenpennai River, located in Krishnagiri District,Tamil Nadu.The Krishnagiri Dam is also known as Krishnagiri Reservoir Project (KRP) Dam. The KRP Dam is approx 7 km from Krishnagiri.And it is 100km from bangalore.
So we started our journey in morningIt was summer season so in tamilnadu it was feeling more hot.But anyhow we reached there.When we entered we see the beauty of the place and the big crowd Peoples are gathered there for picnic.They are preaparing their food.So we are specialy me dissapointed by thinking that i would be a member of them.We entered the place by making entry ticket of 5 rupees only.We went straight and found water flow from the dam and peoples are taking bath .some people are doing fishing.
We parked our bike.And we saw teir are local shops offering local foods.We entered the park that goes to the dam.First i took some snaps of that garden.It was a nice park having big trees flowers and looking beautiful.It is maintained by the tamilnadu government.We took the steps that goes to the dam.From a height the garden was looking awesome.Some hills also there surrounding the dam.Only the hot sun above our head was the problem there otherwise everything was great.
We can see the area contained with water.Peoples are taking bath some fisherman fishing their without any fear.As it was a summer season only one gate was open.I can not wait to go near to the water.so we went down again and i went near to the gate from where the water was flowing and the colour of the water and the melodious sound of the water flow gave me the charm that i was always searching in my trip.
We spent some moment there and took some snacks under one tree.Some peoples are sleeping there.Some playing cricket .badminton,football.And i am thinkingwinter season is best time to visit.
As we have planned to visit a temple called padmavati temple.It is near by 16km from the dam.It is jain temple.But due to shortage of time ,
We returned back to bangalore.
The place has its own charm and take one day to visit the place.Taste the fresh fish curry and enjoy your day.WHEELNHIKES
